Literary Imagery (2009-10)

These are screen shots of Literary Imagery in action... When text from the book Literary Imagery it is launched into an internet browser an image will appear. Yet, what is seen is not actually a picture... It is text communicating to an internet browser where to place 1x1 cells within a table, and what background color to assign to each cell. So, the picture is not actually a picture (until a picture is taken of it). I own the copyright to these literary works. The main theme here is appropriation (appropriation involves borrowing, copying, or recontextualizing existing imagery or objects to produce a new work of art).
